    "OBITUARY - MRS. EDWARD BOYLE
    The death of one of the district’s most respectable residents occurred on Friday. October 7th, in Brisbane, in the person of Mrs. M. Boyle, relict of the late Edward Boyle, of Jubilee Hill, Mount Morgan. The deceased lady was born in Sligo, Ireland, on April 25th 1849, and came to Australia with her husband and three children in 1883, settling at Bundaberg, where she lived for a number of years. After leaving Bundaberg she went to Mt. Morgan and was resident there for the past 21 years. She was a devout and exemplary Catholic and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. She is survived by her only daughter, Mrs. T. Malynn, Mt. Morgan, and four sons, Edward (Sydney), James (Brisbane), William (Bundaberg) and Con (Rockhampton)." (Refer: Phillip Boyle)
    
    Maria shares her grave with her son James. They are both buried in Lutwyce Cemetery, Kedron Queensland in the Monumental Part Portion RC1 Section 20 Grave Number 14. When Maria Boyle was buried  in 1927 the grave was numbered E81.
    
    Qld Death Cert No. 1927/B2624 states that, in 1927, Maria Boyle (nee Lovett) died in Brisbane, Qld. Her father's name was William Lovett and her mother's name was Sarah Lovett (nee Foley).

  • Maria Boyle (nee Lovett), was the cousin of the Catholic Bishop of Elphin Diocese (Sligo, Ireland). His name was John Joseph CLANCY and he was born 23 December 1856 and died 1912 aged 56. He was Coadjutor Bishop of Elphin from 12 January 1856 to 8 February 1895; Titular Bishop of Achantus from 12 January 1895 to 8 February 1895 and Bishop of Elphin 8 February 1895 to 1912.
