John (Jack) Anthony Halberstater

John (Jack), known as Jack, was born on June 13th, 1913 in Rockhampton, Qld.¹

Birth Notes
- Qld Birth Cert. No. 1913/C11836 states that, in 1913, John Anthony Halberstater was born. His father's name was Maurice Halberstater and his mother's name was Elizabeth Margaret Halberstater (nee O'Donnell).

Jack's father was Maurice Joseph Halberstater and his mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Margaret O'Donnell. His paternal grandparents were Adolf Halberstaedter and Ann Feran; his maternal grandparents were William John O'Donnell and Mary Anne Clancy. He had two brothers and a sister, named Kevin, Bill and Mamie. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 77 on August 3rd, 1990 in Rockhampton, Qld. The funeral was arranged by Cornes. He was buried on August 6th, 1990 in Mt Morgan Cemetery, Qld.²¹
