Georg was born in 1867.1   Georg's father was Herman Halberstädter and his mother was Henrietta Prager.  His paternal grandparents were Louis (Ludwig) Halberstädter and Johanna Landsberg. He had three brothers named Ludwig, Bruno and Ernst.  He died at the age of 67 in 1934.1
