- Ivy Lorraine Beaumont was the ninth of ten children of Alexander John and Mary Jane Beaumont of Deeford. She was born on 20th November 1914 at Hall St South, Mt Morgan. A younger brother died in infancy, so Ivy grew up as the baby of the family.
  
  Qld Birth Cert No. 1914/C10528, states that in 1914, Ivy Lorraine Beaumont was born. Her father's name was Alexander John Beaumont, and her mother's name was Mary Jane Beaumont (nee Kellaway).

Ivy's father was Alexander John Beaumont and her mother was Mary Jane Kellaway. Her paternal grandparents were Alfred Beaumont and Emma Marion Collins; her maternal grandparents were George Smith Kellaway and Catherine (Kate) Morisset. She had two brothers and two sisters, named George, William, Belle and Hilda. She was the youngest of the five children.
