Martha was born in 1808 in Froxfield.  Martha's father was Joseph WOOLDRIDGE and her mother was Elizabeth ROBINS.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph WOOLDRIDGE and Catharine KIBBLEWHITE. She had three sisters named Charlotte, Harriet and Betsy.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
