Annie was born on May 23rd, 1883 in Leeds.  Annie's father was William SWALLOW and her mother was Emmeline HEPWORTH.  Her paternal grandparents were John SWALLOW and Margaret FIRTH. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Alfred, John, Jane and Gertrude.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 71 in 1954 in Warrington.
