Abijah was born on November 27th, 1775 in Hitcham and his baptism took place in November 1775 in Wattisham.  Abijah's father was John STEFF and his mother was Elizabeth SQUIRRELL.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 58 in 1833 in Hitcham.  The funeral took place on August 11th, 1833 in Hitcham.
