Anselmo was born on July 13th, 1920 in Gibraltar.  Anselmo's father was Alfredo SANCHEZ and his mother was Victoria TORRES.  His paternal grandparents were Domingo SANCHEZ and Ana VIAGAS; his maternal grandparents were Anselmo TORRES and Maria MARTINEZ. He had two brothers named Domingo and Angel.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Tuberculosis, at the age of 21 on October 25th, 1941 in London.  His burial was at the Hendon Park Cemetery.
