Hilda was born in 1901 in Wortley.  Hilda's father was Frank ROWBOTTOM and her mother was Minnie NICHOLSON.  Her paternal grandparents were John ROWBOTTOM and Elizabeth Ann GRAY. She had a sister named Martha.  She was the older of the two children.
