Ann was born in 1832 in Stoughton and her baptism took place there on May 13th, 1832.  Ann's father was William PETT and her mother was Hannah OAKLEY.  Her paternal grandparents were George PETT and Mary SMITH. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, George, John, Moses, Mark, Aaron, Jeremiah, Phoebe, Lucy and Elizabeth.  She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
