Phillip MORTLOCK

Phillip was born in 1777 in Suffolk. Phillip's father was Phillip MORTLOCK and his mother was Ann BAXTER. His paternal grandparents were Peter MORTLOCK and Ann MITCHELL. He was an only child. He died at the age of 58 on September 23rd, 1835 in Great Cornard.

- Phillip's occupation was Miller full time in agriculture in Glemsford. He retired on April 24th, 1833.
  - Occupation Notes
    - On 24.4.1833 Phillip put his mills up for sale. They were described as a water corn mill of four stones with an inexhaustible supply of water and with navigation to Manningtree and Mistley; and a post mill of two stones on the east side of the road from Sudbury to Cornard.
