Hermon Stanford MORTLOCK

Hermon was born on February 24th, 1894 in Bradfield St George. Hermon's father was William Herbert MORTLOCK and his mother was Sarah Ann ANDREWS. His paternal grandparents were Phillip MORTLOCK and Esther HERMON; his maternal grandparents were Edward Charles ANDREWS and Unknown. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Gerald, Dorothy and Laura. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 66 in 1960 in Shimpling.

- From November 1915 to March 1919 Hermon's occupation was Petty Officer full time in public administration for RNAS, in Romania.

    - Mechanic on armoured cars. On 2nd December 1916 he was taken prisoner at Panteleimon in Romania and repatriated in 1918
