Herbert MORTLOCK

Herbert was born on June 22nd, 1879 in Shimpling. Herbert's father was Charles MORTLOCK and his mother was Ann DRAKE. His paternal grandparents were Edward Ernest MORTLOCK and Sarah SPARKE. He had five brothers and a sister, named Walter, Harry, Edgar, George, Walter and Ruth. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Alfred and Morrie. He died as a war casualty at the age of 38 on September 25th, 1917 in Ypres.
