William LONG

William was born in 1847 in Preston St Mary and his baptism took place there on May 16th, 1847. William's father was Robert LONG and his mother was Harriet HOLLOCKS. His paternal grandparents were Henry LONG and Ann BIRD; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin HOLLOCKS and Mary PARMENTER. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Henry, George, Thomas, James, Susan, Marianne, Elizabeth and Ellen. He was the eighth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 72 in 1919 in Thorpe Morieux. The funeral took place on December 3rd, 1919 in Thorpe Morieux.
