Ann was born in 1746 in Saint Mary Cray and her christening took place there on March 30th, 1746.  Ann's father was Edward JEAL and her mother was Sarah DEAN.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward JEAL and Unknown. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Edward, William, John, Thomas, Sarah and Mary.  She was the youngest of the seven children. She had a half-sister named Elizabeth.
