Sarah HATTO

Sarah was born in 1885 in Cannock.

Birth Notes
- Birth Reg Cannock 6b 533: JFM 1885.

Sarah's father was Charles HATTO and her mother was Emma ALLEN. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas HATTO and Jane SUMNER. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Jack, Samuel, Mary, Charles, Jane, Rose and France. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother named Samuel. She died as an infant in 1885 in Cannock.

  Sarah was born early in 1885 and died in the following quarter.
  
  Her birth date so soon after the marriage of Charles and Emma suggests she was either very premature or they “had to get married”.

General Notes
- Emma Hatto’s first child only came to light on the 1911 census – people were obliged to state how many children they had, how many were still alive and how many had died.
