Frances (France) Louisa HATTO

Frances, known as France, was born on October 8th, 1897 in Cannock. France's father was Charles HATTO and her mother was Emma ALLEN. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas HATTO and Jane SUMNER. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Jack, Samuel, Sarah, Mary, Charles, Jane and Rose. She was the youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother named Samuel. She died at the age of 82 on November 21st, 1979 in Poynton.

      1944 – France and her three youngest children evacuated to Nelson, Lancs (Irene was already living there).
      
      Moved back to Manchester and purchased 154 Hartington Street, Moss Side with compensation money from Bill’s death.
      
      154 Hartington Street sold early 1970s when France had spells living with both daughters Fran in Manchester and Irene in Edale before getting a “sheltered” flat in Poynton, Cheshire.
