Harriet was born in 1803 in Thorpe Morieux and her christening took place there on August 21st, 1803.  Harriet's father was Samuel GOULD and her mother was Ann STEARN.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel GOULD and Alice ARMSTRONG. She had a brother and a sister, named George and Anna.  She was the youngest of the three children.
