Ann was born in 1779 in Felsham and her christening took place there on May 30th, 1779.  Ann's father was Thomas GOULD and her mother was Ann BIXBY.  Her maternal grandparents were Jeremiah BIXBY and Ann CAWSTON. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Bixby, Ann, Martha and Christian.  She was the second oldest of the seven children. She had two half-sisters named Hannah and Sophia.
