Ann was born in 1860 in St George of the East.  Ann's father was George Daniel GERMAIN and her mother was Ann GRIMBLE.  Her paternal grandparents were William GERMAIN and Jane Susannah WEEMES; her maternal grandparents were Joseph GRIMBLE and Jane KAY. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Alexander, Joseph, Thomas, Jemima, Jane and Jane.
