Teresa was born on February 14th, 1863 in Gibraltar and her baptism took place on March 8th, 1863 at St Mary the Crowned.  Her godfather Pascual Mario ENRIGO.  Teresa's father was Salvador GARCIA and her mother was Leonor Sebastiana ENRIGO.  Her paternal grandparents were Fransisco GARCIA and Juana MAESTRE; her maternal grandparents were Pascual Mario ENRIGO and Teresa OLIVERA. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Manuel, Salvador, Juana, Leonor, Encarnacion, Elisa and Magdalena.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.
