Peter was born on May 29th, 1882 in Great Waldingfield and his baptism took place there on July 9th, 1882.  Peter's father was Joshua BOWERS and his mother was Anna Maria BIRD.  His paternal grandparents were Peter BOWERS and Mary NICHOLSON; his maternal grandparents were George BIRD and Elizabeth RANSON. He had four brothers named Bowers, Harry, George and Benjamin.  He was the oldest of the five children. He had seven half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Henry, Benjamin, Phillip, Robert, Walter, Samuel, Walter, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Ruth, Elizabeth, Mary and Meannah.  He died as an infant at the age of 1 in September 1883 in Great Waldingfield.  The funeral took place on September 11th, 1883 in Great Waldingfield.
