Albert was born in 1900 in Hayling Island.  Albert's father was Charles Walter FOSTER and his mother was Ellen MAYNE.  His paternal grandparents were Charles W FOSTER and Elizabeth Frances PEARSON; his maternal grandparents were George MAYNE and Unknown. He had a brother and two sisters, named Ernest, Lillian and Lottie.  He was the youngest of the four children.
