Arthur was born in 1855 in Kintbury.  Arthur's father was John FISHER and his mother was Phoebe BENNETT. He had three brothers and five sisters, named George, William, Thomas, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline, Ellen and Emma.  He was the youngest of the nine children.
