William BOWERS

William was born in 1909 in Beaumont and his baptism took place on August 29th, 1909 in Great Oakley. William's father was George Arthur BOWERS and his mother was Ellen Jane BRITTON. His paternal grandparents were Henry BIRD and Mary Ann BOWERS. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Stanley, Percy, Frank, Ralph, Dennis, Edith, Molly, Hilda, Ruby and Peggy. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 80 in 1989 in Clacton on Sea.
