Ellen (Ruby) Mary BOWERS

Ellen, known as Ruby, was born on May 6th, 1920 in Ramsey and her baptism took place on May 30th, 1920 in Great Oakley.

Ruby's father was George Arthur BOWERS and her mother was Ellen Jane BRITTON. Her paternal grandparents were Henry BIRD and Mary Ann BOWERS. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Stanley, Percy, Frank, Ralph, Dennis, Edith, Molly, Hilda and Peggy. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
