William was born in 1695 in Felsham and his baptism took place on August 20th, 1695 at Felsham Parish Church.  William's father was Thomas BIXBY and his mother was Frances KERRINGTON.  His paternal grandparents were William BIXBY and Margaret; his maternal grandparents were John KERRINGTON and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, Jeremiah, Mary, Ann and Sarah.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 83 in 1778.  The funeral took place on March 16th, 1778.
