Thomas was born in 1741 in Felsham and his christening took place there on October 12th, 1741.  Thomas' father was Jeremiah BIXBY and his mother was Ann CAWSTON.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas BIXBY and Frances KERRINGTON. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Jeremiah, Ann and Mary.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 34 in 1775.  The funeral took place on August 19th, 1775.
