Sophia was born in 1776 in Felsham and her christening took place there on August 4th, 1776.  Sophia's father was Unknown and her mother was Ann BIXBY.  Her maternal grandparents were Jeremiah BIXBY and Ann CAWSTON. She had a sister named Hannah.  She was the younger of the two children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Thomas, Bixby, Ann, Ann, Martha and Christian.
