Robert was born in 1693 in Felsham and his baptism took place on April 14th, 1693 at Felsham Parish Church.  Robert's father was Thomas BIXBY and his mother was Frances KERRINGTON.  His paternal grandparents were William BIXBY and Margaret; his maternal grandparents were John KERRINGTON and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Jeremiah, Mary, Ann and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 80 in 1773.  The funeral took place on July 20th, 1773.
