Mary was born in 1614 in Thorpe Morieux and her baptism took place there on February 22nd, 1614.  Mary's father was Thomas BIXBY and her mother was Alice ROOKE. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, William, Alice, Anne, Jane, Jane and Eliza.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
