Mary was born in 1654 in Thorpe Morieux and her baptism took place there on June 10th, 1654.  Mary's father was William BIXBY and her mother was Margaret.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas BIXBY and Alice ROOKE. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Margaret and Anne.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
