Margaret was born in 1653 in Thorpe Morieux and her baptism took place there on May 12th, 1653.  Margaret's father was William BIXBY and her mother was Margaret.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas BIXBY and Alice ROOKE. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Mary and Anne.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
