Jane was born in 1619 in Thorpe Morieux and her baptism took place there on February 5th, 1619.  Jane's father was Thomas BIXBY and her mother was Alice ROOKE. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, William, Alice, Anne, Mary, Jane and Eliza.  She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
