Eliza was born in 1622 in Thorpe Morieux and her baptism took place there on March 14th, 1622.  Eliza's father was Thomas BIXBY and her mother was Alice ROOKE. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, William, Alice, Anne, Mary, Jane and Jane.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
