Margaret was born in 1655 in Claydon and her baptism took place there on August 5th, 1655.  Margaret's father was Edmund BIRD and her mother was Margaret BROWNE.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund BIRD and Priscilla HOWELL; her maternal grandparents were William BROWNE and Ann. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edmund, Richard and Ann.  She was the oldest of the four children.
