Kate Emma BIRD

Kate was born in 1876 in Willingale Spain and her baptism took place there on November 26th, 1876. Kate's father was Walter (William) BIRD and her mother was Hannah DENNY. Her paternal grandparents were Unknown and Mary BIRD. She had two brothers and nine sisters, named Walter, Oscar, Elizabeth, Amy, Ellen, Emily, Annie, Ada, Ethel, Edith and Margaret. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.

General Notes
- Kate married twice, her first husband was a road sweeper who had a hare lip which was covered by a leather patch. They lived at Smart's Lane, Loughton, Essex.
  
  She had a large family including twins. Before the twins were born one child died from leukemia.
  
  Her second husband was a car park attendant at Hastings, Sussex.
  
  This was told to me by Charlotte Lilian, daughter of Annie Jane Bird. She must have ended her days at Hastings.
