James BIRD

James was born in 1797 in Cockfield and his baptism took place there on August 27th, 1797. James' father was James BIRD and his mother was Alice GOULD. His paternal grandparents were Edmund BIRD and Mary BRAGG; his maternal grandparents were Samuel GOULD and Alice ARMSTRONG. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, George, Robert, Henry, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the oldest of the eight children.
