Edmund was born in 1603 in Claydon and his baptism took place there on January 22nd, 1603.  Edmund's father was Edmund BIRD and his mother was Margaret. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Robert and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Samuel, John, Edmund, James, Ann and Mary.  He died at the age of 7 in 1610 in Claydon.  The funeral took place on March 13th, 1610 in Claydon.
