Edmund was born in 1623 in Claydon and his baptism took place there on January 1st, 1624.  Edmund's father was Edmund BIRD and his mother was Priscilla HOWELL.  His maternal grandparents were Richard HOWELL and Agnes. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John, James, Ann and Mary.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Edmund, Richard, Robert and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 44 in March 1667 in Claydon.  The funeral took place on April 2nd, 1667 in Claydon.1
