James Tildsey

James was born in 1791 in Little Hulton and his baptism took place on June 12th, 1791 at Peel Chapel.¹

James' father was Samuel Tildsey and his mother was Martha Mort. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, John, Ann, Judith, Alice, Elizabeth, Martha, Maria and Charlotte. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
