William E Mather

William was born in 1857 in Worsley.¹

- William E was age 4 in 1861, but bord in Worsley, different from his younger sister Emeleia A whom was born in Little Hulton.

William's father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Hannah (Betsy) Kay. His paternal grandparents were William Mather and Martha Tildsey. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Herbert, Ernest, Amelia, Annie, Jesse, Matilda, Lizzie and Lawraett. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 7 in 1864 in Little Hulton.²
