Harriet was born in September 1845 in Little Bolton.1  Harriet's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Betty Hall. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Mary.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 1 in March 1847 in Bolton.2
