Kenneth was born about February 1925.  Kenneth's father was John W Lewis and his mother was Evelyn Mary Dittmer.  His maternal grandparents were Johann (Chris) Heinrich Christoph Dittmer and Katharina (Margaret) Margaretha Maria Heuer. He had three brothers and a sister, named Alan, Norman, Gordon and Dorothy.  He is the second oldest of the five children.
