Emma Horsfall

Emma was born in June 1850 in Almondbury.¹

Birth Notes
- Aged 9 months old in 30-Mar-1851
  Aged 30 in 1881
  Aged 50 in 1901

Emma's father was William Horsfall and her mother was Susanna Stocks. Her maternal grandparents were Job Stocks and Lucy Crosland. She was an only child. She died at the age of 67 in June 1917 in Huddersfield.²

General Notes
- Apears twice on 1851 census (on same page), but only one Emma Stocks birth registered before the census.
  
  Aged 1 on 1851 and 12 on 1861 census living with Grandparents Job and Lucy Stocks at Park Gate, Almondbury (although chesus shows she was clearly born in Huddersfield).
  
  She's also a Stocks, and order on 1851 census return (under Ruth) implies she is possibly an illegitamate daughter of Ruth.
  
  Emma Horsfall was witness to her cousin Albert Stock's marriage to Jane Smith in March 1873.
  
  After moving to Halifax, Elsie, Enoch and Emma ere back living in Huddersfield in 1911.
