Mary Darlington

Mary was born in 1908 in Barrow.¹ Mary's father was John Darlington and her mother was Rosa Brereton. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Darlington and Jane Newton; her maternal grandparents were John Brereton and Mary Ann Lea. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Frank, Lea, Annie, Edith and Rosa. She was the youngest of the seven known children.
