Lea Darlington

Lea was born in 1906 in Barrow.¹ Lea's father was John Darlington and his mother was Rosa Brereton. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Darlington and Jane Newton; his maternal grandparents were John Brereton and Mary Ann Lea. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Frank, Annie, Edith, Rosa and Mary. He was the second youngest of the seven known children.
