Lydia was born on December 31st, 1814 in Holmfirth and her christening took place on February 5th, 1815 in Wesleyan (Holmfirth).1   Lydia's father was Dan Crosland and her mother was Mary. She had three brothers named John, Jonathon and Joseph.  She was the second youngest of the four children.
