Sarah was born in 1852 in Darcy Lever.1   Sarah's father was Cornelius Buckley and her mother was Esther Scowcroft.  Her paternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Leech. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Josiah, Ephriam, Mary and Martha.  She was the youngest of the six children. She had two half-brothers named James and William.  She died at the age of 60 on September 18th, 1912 in Bolton.  She was buried in Darcy Lever.2 2
