Catherine was born in 1757 and her christening took place on October 2nd, 1757 at St. Peters (Bolton).1  Catherine's father was Miles Bromiley and her mother was Mary Nelson. She had a sister named Mary.  She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Mary, Jane, Happy and Alice.
